The game at SAP Center at San Jose saw the home team, the Sharks, unable to capitalize on their opportunities despite a strong second period where they scored all three of their goals. The Sharks' goaltender ended the night with a save percentage of one hundred percent but allowed six goals against from forty-one shots. On offense, they managed to convert one out of three powerplay opportunities into a goal and had twenty shots on goal throughout the game.

The Stars came out strong in the first period scoring twice and continued their offensive dominance by adding another three goals in the second period. Their final tally came in third, bringing their total to six goals for the night. The Stars' shooting accuracy was impressive as they maintained a fifteen percent shooting percentage and successfully executed one powerplay goal from four chances.

Despite being outshot by twenty-one attempts, it was clear that defensive lapses played a significant role for the Sharks as they gave away eight times during play and were less successful in faceoffs with only forty-six percent won compared to fifty-four percent by Dallas. Additionally, both teams shared an equal number of hits at fifteen each.

Looking ahead for fans of San Jose Sharks: The team will be hitting the ice again soon when they visit Minnesota Wild at Xcel Energy Center located in St. Paul on March 29th. This upcoming game is scheduled for 5:00 PM PT and can be watched live on ESPN+, NBCS-CA or BSN networks.
