The Red Wings managed to find some rhythm as well but couldn't overcome San Jose's lead despite scoring one goal in the second period followed by two more goals in the third period. Vladimir Tarasenko stood out for Detroit with his effort on offense.

For San Jose, Jan Rutta’s accuracy was on display as he scored once from his only shot attempt during his time on ice. Similarly impactful was Nico Sturm who also capitalized on his single shot attempt to add another goal for San Jose.

For Detroit, despite their loss, they saw strong efforts from players like Tarasenko who made significant contributions but ultimately fell short against a determined Sharks team.
