First Period


The opening period saw the Utah Mammoth take an early lead with two goals. The Sharks struggled to find their rhythm, unable to score despite several attempts. Yaroslav Askarov made crucial saves for the Sharks, but it wasn't enough to prevent Utah from establishing dominance.


Second Period


In the second period, San Jose found some momentum as Macklin Celebrini and Tyler Toffoli each contributed a goal during powerplay opportunities. Celebrini's performance was notable with his involvement in both goals scored by his team during this period. However, Utah managed to add another goal to their tally, maintaining their lead.

Third Period


The final period saw a surge from both teams as they battled intensely on ice. Jeff Skinner scored for San Jose, bringing hope for a comeback. Despite this effort, Utah capitalized on defensive lapses by scoring three more times and sealing their victory.


Throughout the game, Askarov faced intense pressure with 34 shots against him and managed 28 saves overall. On offense, Celebrini stood out with his contributions in scoring plays alongside Toffoli and Skinner.
