Did Sharks' Third Period Surge Overwhelm Blue Jackets at SAP Center?

First Period


The opening period saw both teams testing each other's defenses without finding the back of the net. The Sharks managed to take an early lead with a goal from Macklin Celebrini, setting a competitive tone for what was to follow. Despite numerous attempts by both sides, neither team could capitalize further before heading into intermission.


Second Period


As play resumed in the second period, Alexander Wennberg extended San Jose's lead with his precise shot that found its way past Columbus's goaltender. Third Period


The third period proved pivotal as Zack Ostapchuk and Mario Ferraro each scored for San Jose within minutes of each other. Their efforts were complemented by solid defensive plays and key saves from Nedeljkovic who ended up being one of three stars of this match-up due to his impressive performance between posts.
