First Period

The opening period set the tone for the Sharks as they quickly took control of the game. Macklin Celebrini was instrumental in this early dominance, scoring two goals that put San Jose ahead. His performance earned him recognition as one of the game's stars. The Sharks' powerplay unit was particularly effective, converting two out of seven opportunities and contributing significantly to their lead.

Second Period

In contrast to the first period's flurry of activity, both teams tightened up defensively in the second period. Despite several attempts from both sides, neither team managed to find the back of the net. Alex Nedeljkovic stood tall between the pipes for San Jose, making crucial saves that maintained their advantage over New York.

Third Period

The final period saw a determined effort from New York as they sought to close the gap. However, Nedeljkovic continued his stellar performance by stopping all shots faced during this frame. Will Smith added an assist during this time which further solidified his contribution alongside Celebrini's earlier efforts.

Overall, it was a well-rounded performance by San Jose that highlighted their ability to execute under pressure and leverage special teams effectively against an opponent struggling with consistency on powerplays.
