The San Jose Sharks faced off against the Calgary Flames at the SAP Center, resulting in a 4-1 outcome. The Sharks now hold a record of 27-25-4, while the Flames improved to 24-27-6. Despite a strong effort from Tyler Toffoli, who scored the lone goal for the home team, it was not enough to overcome Calgary's offensive surge.

First Period

The opening period saw both teams testing each other's defenses with no goals scored. The Sharks managed to take more shots on goal than their opponents but were unable to convert any into points. Their defense held firm against Calgary's attempts, setting an intense tone for what was to come.

Second Period

In the second period, Tyler Toffoli broke through for San Jose with a well-executed goal assisted by Mario Ferraro and Michael Misa. However, this lead was short-lived as Nazem Kadri of the Flames responded with an equalizer shortly after. The period ended with both teams tied and poised for an exciting final stretch.

Third Period

The third period proved decisive as Calgary took control of the game. Connor Zary and Dustin Wolf led their team’s charge by adding three more goals between them, leaving little room for a comeback from San Jose. Despite Yaroslav Askarov's efforts in goalkeeping with 25 saves throughout the match, he couldn't stop all of Calgary’s relentless attacks.

San Jose struggled defensively during this segment which ultimately cost them dearly in terms of maintaining momentum against their rivals’ aggressive playstyle.
