Can the Seattle Kraken Blaze Past the Calgary Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome?

The Seattle Kraken are gearing up for a fiery encounter against the Calgary Flames at the Scotiabank Saddledome, and fans should be optimistic about their team's chances. The Kraken have shown resilience and skill in their recent games, which suggests they could carry that momentum into this upcoming clash.

In their last game on December 24 against the Anaheim Ducks, SEA demonstrated a solid performance with a 3-2 victory. They managed to net three goals from just 22 shots, boasting an impressive shooting percentage of 14 percent. Their powerplay unit capitalized on one of their opportunities, while their penalty kill stood firm, not allowing any goals despite being shorthanded once. The goaltending was exceptional with a save percentage of 100 percent from 32 saves out of 34 shots.

Looking back at SEA's game on December 21 against the Los Angeles Kings tells a similar story of tenacity. Despite being shorthanded four times, they skated away with a win by maintaining discipline and converting one out of three powerplay opportunities into goals. Their defense blocked an impressive number of shots (13), contributing to another night where goaltending excelled with an astounding save percentage.

However, it wasn't all smooth sailing for SEA as evidenced by their overtime loss to the Dallas Stars on December 19. While they scored three goals and had strong goaltending once again – saving all but four out of twenty-eight shots – it wasn't enough to secure victory in overtime play.

The Calgary Flames will certainly provide stiff competition; however, based on recent performances by both teams and considering that SEA has been able to maintain high save percentages while capitalizing on powerplays even when under pressure suggests that they have what it takes to emerge victorious in this matchup.

SEA fans should look forward to seeing if their team can continue its strong defensive play while also seeking more efficiency in faceoff wins where there is room for improvement given past performances hovering around only thirty-eight percent success rate.

Mark your calendars for December 27 at 9:30 PM Eastern Time when Seattle Kraken take on Calgary Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome. Fans can catch all the action live on ROOT Sports NW or stream it nationally via ESPN+.
