The Seattle crowd at Climate Pledge Arena witnessed an intense matchup where their team, despite a valiant effort, fell short against a formidable Vegas squad. The Golden Knights' offense was firing on all cylinders as they managed to net five goals on thirty shots. Their shooting accuracy was impressive with a sixteen percent success rate, and they were particularly effective during powerplays, scoring two goals from just four opportunities.

On the other side of the ice, the Kraken struggled to find their rhythm early on but managed to put up two goals from thirty-three shots by game's end. Their powerplay unit capitalized once out of two chances provided. However, faceoffs proved challenging for Seattle throughout the night; they won only thirty-five percent of them compared to Vegas' sixty-five percent success rate.

Defensively, both teams were active in blocking attempts with twenty blocked shots each. However, it was Vegas' goaltender who stood out with an impressive save percentage of ninety-four percent after stopping thirty-one out of thirty-three shots directed his way. In contrast, Seattle's goalie saved twenty-five out of thirty shots for an eighty-three percent save rate.

Seattle fans did have moments to cheer about as their team showed resilience by scoring both their goals during the third period after being down by five. This late surge demonstrated that even when facing adversity, the Kraken are not a team that gives up easily.

Looking ahead after this tough loss at home, Seattle fans can mark their calendars for an exciting upcoming game against Carolina Hurricanes at Climate Pledge Arena scheduled for October 17th at 7:00 PM local time (10:00 PM ET). Fans can catch all live action on ROOT Sports NW or tune into ESPN+ and BSSO channel 646-1 for national and away broadcasts respectively.
