In front of a packed house at Climate Pledge Arena, the Seattle Kraken delivered an impeccable performance against the visiting Edmonton Oilers. The game was characterized by staunch defense and clinical finishing from the Kraken. Despite both teams starting cautiously with no goals in the first period, it was clear that Seattle had come to make a statement.

As play resumed for the second period, it was evident that Seattle had found their rhythm. They managed to put two past Edmonton's goaltender who made 24 saves throughout the game but couldn't withstand Seattle's persistent offense. The Kraken capitalized on their opportunities with an impressive shooting percentage of eleven percent compared to Edmonton's zero percent.

The third period saw continued dominance by the home side as they added another goal to seal their victory. Notably, one of these goals came shorthanded, showcasing not just offensive flair but also defensive solidity under pressure. In total, six points were scored by Seattle players – three goals and three assists – highlighting a well-rounded team effort.

Seattle's goaltender deserves special mention for stopping all 29 shots faced during regulation time and maintaining a perfect save percentage which contributed significantly to keeping Edmonton scoreless throughout all periods.

The faceoff circle was another area where Seattle showed superiority winning over half of their draws while limiting Edmonton to less than half faceoff wins at forty-four percent success rate. This control allowed them more possession and ultimately more control over the game’s pace.

On top of solid goaltending and faceoff prowess, physicality did not go amiss as both teams registered over twenty hits each; however it was clear that quality trumped quantity in this matchup as evidenced by Seattle’s overall performance on ice.

Looking ahead for fans of The Kraken: they can anticipate watching their team take on Calgary Flames at Climate Pledge Arena on September 28th at 7:00 PM local time (10:00 PM Eastern Time). This match will be available for viewing across various networks including ESPN+ online platform nationally or KONG TV locally along with NHL Network channel two hundred fifteen ensuring fans won’t miss any action from what promises to be an exciting encounter.
