Seattle Kraken Clashed with Calgary Flames at Scotiabank Saddledome

In a challenging match-up at Scotiabank Saddledome, the Seattle Kraken were unable to secure a win against the Calgary Flames. Despite their efforts, the Kraken managed to net only one goal compared to four by the Flames. The lone goal for Seattle came during a powerplay opportunity in the third period which saw them capitalize on one of their five chances with six shots taken during powerplays throughout the game.


The Kraken's goaltender saved 21 out of 25 shots faced, ending up with an 84 percent save rate for this encounter. On offense, they took a total of 22 shots but struggled to find success beyond their single goal. The team also had difficulty in faceoffs winning just 16 out of 51 attempts which translates into a mere 31 percent faceoff win rate.

Defensively speaking, Seattle recorded nineteen hits and blocked eleven shots from reaching their netminder. However, they gave away possession six times and were not able to take full advantage of their two powerplay opportunities without conceding any goals while shorthanded.


On the other side of the ice, Calgary showcased strong performance across all areas. Their goaltender made an impressive showing with twenty-one saves on twenty-two shots resulting in an almost perfect save percentage at around ninety-six percent. Offensively potent as well as defensively sound; they scored four goals from twenty-five shots giving them a sixteen percent shooting success rate and won over sixty-eight percent of faceoffs.
