The game saw the Seattle Kraken display a solid performance on both ends of the ice. The team managed to fire off a total of 38 shots, with three finding their way past the opposition's goaltender. Despite being outmatched in faceoffs, winning only 21 out of 57 attempts, and facing more penalties with nine minutes spent in penalty time compared to their opponents' fifteen minutes, the Kraken capitalized on their powerplay opportunities by scoring one goal out of five chances.

The second period was particularly eventful for the Seattle team as they scored two goals to take control of the game. Their shooting percentage over this period was commendable at nearly eight percent overall for the game. Defensively, they were led by their goaltender who made eighteen saves throughout sixty minutes on ice and boasted an impressive save percentage just shy of ninety-one percent.

On offense, eight points were distributed among various players who contributed five assists alongside three goals scored; one being decisive enough to be considered as winning goal. The defensive effort also included blocking fifteen shots from reaching their own net.

The Colorado Avalanche put up a strong fight in front of a home crowd numbering over eighteen thousand fans. They delivered thirty-seven hits during play and took twelve takeaways from Seattle but ultimately fell short despite having better success in faceoffs with thirty-six wins and boasting higher faceoff win percentage than that of Seattle.

Looking ahead for fans of the Seattle Kraken is another exciting matchup against Chicago Blackhawks scheduled for October twenty-third at six o'clock PM Eastern Time at United Center in Chicago. Fans can catch all action live through various broadcast networks including ESPN+ online or NBCS-CHI and ROOT Sports NW on television channels six hundred sixty-five and six hundred eighty-seven respectively.
