The Minnesota Wild came out strong right from the opening period, netting two goals that set the tone for what was to come. Their offensive firepower continued into the second period with an additional three goals. The Wild's shooting accuracy was on display as they converted 16 percent of their shots into goals. The team also capitalized on powerplays scoring twice from six opportunities and showed dominance in faceoffs with a winning percentage of 52.

On defense, Minnesota was just as formidable. They blocked an impressive number of shots at 22 and limited giveaways to just two throughout the game. Their goaltender played a pivotal role by saving all but two of Seattle's shots for a save percentage rounding up to 100 percent.

They managed to find the back of the net once each in both first and third periods while taking more shots than their opponents at 32 attempts but only converting six percent into goals. Physicality was evident as they delivered more hits than Minnesota at 22 impacts.

Seattle struggled on powerplays failing to score despite five opportunities which could have narrowed or even closed off their deficit had they been successful. Faceoff wins were almost evenly split between both teams; however, Seattle fell slightly behind with a win rate below fifty percent.
