The Seattle Kraken entered the T-Mobile Arena with determination but ultimately fell short against the Vegas Golden Knights. Despite a valiant effort, including scoring their sole goal during even strength play in the third period to tie the game momentarily, they could not maintain momentum. The Kraken's powerplay unit managed to capitalize once on their three opportunities, converting at a rate of 33 percent for powerplay faceoff wins and securing one goal from four shots during man advantage situations.

Defensively, Seattle was robust with their goaltender making an impressive total of 34 saves throughout the game. However, it wasn't enough to hold back the Golden Knights who managed to slip two past him during even strength and added an empty-netter late in the third period to seal their victory. The Kraken's defense blocked a substantial number of shots as well – totaling 16 blocks – showcasing their commitment to protecting their net.

Offensively though, Seattle struggled in faceoffs winning only 39 percent overall which may have contributed to fewer offensive chances. They also recorded fewer hits than Vegas with only 30 compared to Vegas' more physical presence resulting in 36 hits.

The attendance at T-Mobile Arena was reported at an enthusiastic crowd of 18,033 fans who witnessed this intense matchup that concluded without requiring extra time as all action was contained within regulation play lasting exactly one hour on ice.
