Kraken's Attempt to Rally

Throughout the match, Seattle showed resilience, especially during powerplays. The team managed to convert one out of two opportunities into a goal thanks to their strategic play and determination on ice. This effort was part of their total six points from two goals and four assists over the course of the game. However, their shooting percentage was low at six percent from thirty-three shots attempted, highlighting missed opportunities to close in on Detroit's lead.

Defensively, Seattle struggled with penalty kills as they conceded three goals while shorthanded out of eight shots faced by their goaltenders. Joey Daccord and Philipp Grubauer shared duties between the posts with Daccord saving sixteen out of nineteen shots and Grubauer stopping one out of four before being pulled off.

Red Wings' Commanding Performance

On the other side, Detroit showcased an impressive offensive display by capitalizing on powerplay chances—scoring three goals from five opportunities—and maintaining a high shooting percentage at twenty-six percent. Their strategy paid dividends early on as they surged ahead with four goals in the first period alone.

Dylan Larkin stood out for Detroit with his performance earning him star player recognition alongside teammates Erik Gustafsson and Patrick Kane who also contributed significantly to their team's victory.
