Game Highlights

The game started off strong for the Seattle Kraken as they netted three goals in the first period. However, their momentum slowed in the second period where they failed to score any goals. The team managed to find the back of the net once more in the third period but it wasn't enough to secure a win against a determined Ducks team that scored two goals in the first period and added three more in the second before capping their victory with one final goal in the third.

From an individual performance standpoint, Brandon Montour stood out for Seattle by contributing two assists and maintaining an even plus-minus rating throughout his substantial ice time. Eeli Tolvanen and Mitchell Stephens each scored once on their only shots of the game, showcasing efficient shooting when given opportunities. Shane Wright also made his mark by scoring once on two shots.

Anaheim Ducks' Key Performances

On Anaheim's side, Jackson LaCombe was named one of the stars of this match thanks to his defensive efforts that helped secure their win. Mason McTavish also received star recognition for his forward play which contributed significantly to Anaheim’s offensive strategy.

Despite outshooting Anaheim 30-23 and winning 60 percent of faceoffs compared to Anaheim's 40 percent success rate at faceoffs, Seattle couldn't capitalize on these advantages sufficiently to change the outcome. Their powerplay unit managed one goal from six shots across three opportunities while defensively allowing six goals at even strength.
