Kraken's Attempted Comeback

The game began unfavorably for Seattle as they found themselves unable to score in the first two periods while allowing six goals against them. The team struggled on both ends of the ice but showed resilience by mounting an offensive push in the third period. The Kraken managed to net two even-strength goals during this time, showcasing their never-say-die attitude despite facing a significant deficit.

Seattle's performance was hindered by their inability to capitalize on power play opportunities, going 0 for 2 in such situations. Their faceoff win percentage stood at a mere 34 percent throughout the game, indicating struggles in possession that contributed to their difficulties in establishing control and generating scoring opportunities.

Blues' Dominant Performance

On the other side of the ice, St. Louis demonstrated why they are considered one of the formidable teams this season. Scoring seven goals on equal shots (27), their shooting efficiency was evident with a shooting percentage of 26 percent compared to Seattle's seven percent. The Blues capitalized on one out of two power play opportunities and dominated faceoffs with a win percentage of 66 percent.

Zack Bolduc led from St. Louis' front line as he was named one of three stars for his performance during this matchup alongside Oskar Sundqvist and Cam Fowler who also made significant contributions towards their team’s victory.
