First Period

The opening period saw Seattle taking an early lead with a powerplay goal, showcasing their ability to capitalize on special teams. Jordan Eberle was instrumental in this effort, finding the back of the net and setting an aggressive tone for the Kraken. Despite being outshot by Detroit, Seattle managed to maintain their advantage through disciplined play and effective penalty killing.

Second Period

As the second period unfolded, momentum shifted towards Detroit. The Red Wings responded with three unanswered goals, demonstrating their offensive depth and resilience. Nate Danielson emerged as a key player for Detroit during this period, contributing significantly to his team's scoring efforts. Meanwhile, Joey Daccord stood firm in goal for Seattle but faced relentless pressure from an energized Red Wings offense.

Third Period

Entering the final period trailing by two goals, Seattle sought to regain control of the game. Despite increased offensive pressure and several quality scoring chances created by players like Matty Beniers and Eeli Tolvanen—who both contributed assists—the Kraken were unable to break through Detroit's defensive setup effectively enough to alter the outcome.

In post-game analysis, it was clear that while Seattle demonstrated strong individual performances and strategic powerplay execution early on, they struggled against a well-rounded performance from Detroit throughout much of regulation play.
