St. Louis Blues and Colorado Avalanche Face-off at Ball Arena

As the St. Louis Blues prepare to take on the Colorado Avalanche at Ball Arena, fans are eager to see if the Blues can carry forward their momentum from a recent victory against the Vegas Golden Knights on November 13th. In that game, the Blues showcased a strong defensive effort, with their goaltender saving 34 out of 36 shots – an impressive save percentage of 94 percent. The team's even-strength play was particularly effective, netting all three goals during regular play and demonstrating solid teamwork with five assists.

The offensive line will need to be just as sharp against the Avalanche as they were in Las Vegas. With a shooting percentage of nearly 11 percent in their last outing, converting opportunities into goals won't be easy against an Avalanche team that is known for its resilience on home ice.

However, there are areas where STL could improve; one notable aspect is their powerplay performance. Despite having four powerplay opportunities against the Golden Knights, they failed to capitalize on any of them. Going up against COL's formidable penalty kill unit will require STL to step up their game when it comes to special teams.

On defense, STL has been robust in blocking shots and disrupting plays but will face a stern test from an Avalanche squad that thrives on fast-paced hockey and quick transitions. The Blues' ability to maintain puck possession and win faceoffs – which stood at only around 40 percent previously – will be critical in dictating the pace of the game.

Looking at COL's recent performances provides some insight into what STL might expect. The Avalanche have shown vulnerabilities that can be exploited by a well-organized team like STL who excels at taking away space and creating turnovers.

In conclusion, while past performances indicate strengths for both teams, it is essential for St. Louis Blues fans not to underestimate Colorado Avalanche's home advantage at Ball Arena. It promises to be an exciting clash where discipline and execution could tip the scales in favor of either side.

The much-anticipated match-up is scheduled for November 15th at 9:00 PM EST (7:00 PM local time) in Denver’s Ball Arena. Fans can catch all the action live on ESPN+ nationally or tune into BSMW channel 671 if following from St Louis or ALT channel 681 for local coverage in Denver area.
