The Blues have had a turbulent run in their recent matches, showing both resilience and areas for improvement. In their last three games, they've experienced a mix of outcomes, which provides valuable insights into their current form.

Starting with the most recent game against the Pittsburgh Penguins, despite a strong physical presence with 36 hits and maintaining an almost even faceoff win percentage at 49 percent, they fell short on scoring efficiency with a shooting percentage of just 7 percent. The goaltending also struggled somewhat with a save percentage of 84 percent as they conceded five goals during play and one empty-netter.

In contrast, when hosting the Carolina Hurricanes at Enterprise Center, St. Louis showcased offensive prowess by netting four goals from 26 shots for an impressive shooting percentage of 15 percent and capitalizing on powerplay opportunities by scoring twice out of three chances. However, defensive lapses were evident as they allowed six goals on home ice – two being empty-netters – resulting in a save percentage of only 83 percent.

Earlier against the Dallas Stars in another home game scenario, St. Louis managed only one goal from 24 shots reflecting a low shooting efficiency of around four percent while conceding four goals including one empty-netter which led to another loss despite saving 83 percent of shots faced.

These statistics suggest that while St. Louis can be formidable offensively when seizing opportunities especially on powerplays; consistency across both ends of the rink is needed for success against high-caliber teams like New York Rangers who will have home-ice advantage.
