St. Louis Blues Face Off Against Tampa Bay Lightning at Amalie Arena

At Amalie Arena, the St. Louis Blues faced a challenging opponent in the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Blues managed to net two goals on 27 shots with a shooting percentage rounded to seven percent and secured one powerplay goal out of three opportunities. Their efforts were bolstered by four assists throughout the game.


The first period saw an even distribution of effort from both teams, but it was during this time that the Lightning established a lead with three goals to one from the Blues. Moving into the second period, both teams added another goal each to their tally; however, it was not enough for the Blues to close in on their opponents' lead.


Defensively speaking, goaltending for St. Louis resulted in 22 saves but unfortunately also included four goals against during even strength play and one empty-net goal against them as well. On offense, they won more than half of their faceoffs at fifty-four percent and displayed strong defense by blocking ten shots.


In contrast, Tampa Bay's performance showcased an impressive eighteen percent shooting accuracy resulting in five goals scored on equal shot attempts as St. Louis'. They also capitalized on their powerplays scoring once out of two chances and demonstrated defensive resilience by winning nineteen takeaways and blocking sixteen shots.


As fans look ahead for St. Louis Blues' next challenge will be away against Florida Panthers at Amerant Bank Arena located in Sunrise FL on November 26th at 6:30 PM Eastern Time Zone (ET).
