The game, held at UBS Arena in Belmont Park, saw the St. Louis Blues showcase their offensive capabilities right from the start by scoring once in the first period and adding two more goals in the second. However, it was during the third period that they truly dominated by netting four additional goals against their opponents.

The St. Louis Blues' goaltender played an integral role in securing this win by making 36 saves throughout the game and boasting a save percentage of 90 percent against a total of 40 shots from the Islanders. This defensive effort was crucial as it allowed their team to maintain control despite being outshot.

Offensively, every goal scored by St. Louis came during even-strength play where they managed seven goals on 26 shots with an impressive shooting percentage of 25 percent for those attempts. Their powerplay opportunities did not yield any goals despite having two chances with shots on goal each time.

The team's statistics were rounded out with ten assists contributing to their seventeen points for this game and eighteen hits delivered throughout playtime which lasted exactly one hour on ice according to official records.

On defense, they blocked seventeen shots from reaching their netminder and took away possession three times through takeaways while giving up twenty giveaways themselves – showing some areas where improvement could be made moving forward into future games.

As for faceoffs, there were sixty-one instances with only twenty-five won by St. Louis resulting in a faceoff win percentage of forty-one percent; however, this did not seem to hinder them significantly as evidenced by their overall performance and outcome of this match-up against New York who had won fifty-nine percent of faceoffs taken between both teams combined but still fell short when it came down to scoring efficiency compared against that shown by St. Louis players tonight here at UBS Arena before an audience numbering sixteen thousand forty-four fans witnessing these events unfold live before them or elsewhere via broadcasts available across various networks covering such sporting contests regularly throughout seasons annually held within leagues like NHL among others worldwide today or any given day really depending upon schedules set forth beforehand accordingly anyway without further ado let us conclude here then shall we?
