In an intense matchup at the Enterprise Center, home to the Blues, both teams showcased their defensive capabilities throughout three periods of play. The Blues goaltender made an impressive total of 21 saves but ultimately conceded one goal which proved to be decisive for the outcome of the game. Despite this setback, his save percentage remained a solid hundred percent.

The Blues' offense fired off a total of 21 shots but were unable to find the back of the net; their shooting percentage stood at zero percent as they struggled to capitalize on their opportunities including three powerplays. In contrast, despite having fewer shots on goal with only 22 attempts, it was Columbus that managed to break through with one successful strike that marked both their winning and only goal.

St. Louis displayed physicality on ice with a total hit count reaching 19 while also blocking an impressive number of shots totaling at 16 attempts by Columbus players. Faceoffs were nearly evenly matched between both teams; however, St. Louis edged out slightly winning twenty-four out of forty-seven faceoffs giving them a fifty-one percent success rate in this aspect.

Columbus' lone goal came during even strength play where they had twenty shots and managed two assists on their single scoring play which also happened to be during regular time without any advantages from powerplays or shorthanded situations.

Looking ahead for St. Louis fans eager to support their team in upcoming games: The next challenge for St. Louis Blues will take place away from home against Buffalo Sabres at KeyBank Center located in Buffalo NY on February 10th at noon Central Time (CT). This game will be broadcasted nationally so fans can tune into ABC or stream via ESPN+ online platforms ensuring they don't miss any action as it happens live.
