Can the St. Louis Blues Outshine the Oilers at Rogers Place?

As the St. Louis Blues prepare to face off against the Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Place, fans are eager to see if their team can carry forward the momentum from their recent performances. The upcoming game on February 29th promises to be a thrilling encounter, and all eyes will be on how the Blues tackle this challenge.

The Blues' last game against Nashville Predators on February 17th ended in a disappointing 5-2 loss, despite putting up a valiant effort. With a shooting percentage of just 5 percent and losing over half of their faceoffs, it was clear that puck control was an issue for them. However, they did manage to take away some positives from that game with an impressive penalty kill rate and eleven takeaways.

In contrast, when they played against Edmonton Oilers previously on February 16th, it was a different story altogether. The Blues dominated with six goals to three and showed remarkable efficiency with a shooting percentage of 20 percent while winning nearly 60 percent of faceoffs – showcasing their ability to capitalize on scoring opportunities and maintain puck possession.

One aspect where St. Louis will need to focus is powerplay situations; they scored once in four opportunities during their last meeting with Nashville but had better success against Edmonton by converting two out of eight chances into goals.

The Oilers come into this match after suffering a loss as well but have shown resilience throughout the season. Their previous encounter saw them lose narrowly by one goal despite having more shots than Toronto Maple Leafs – indicating that they're not afraid to press forward and create scoring chances.

For St. Louis fans looking for insights into what might tip this game in favor of STL: pay attention to how effectively they can utilize powerplays and maintain control during even-strength play – areas where they've excelled before against EDM.

With both teams eager for redemption after recent setbacks, it's set up perfectly for an intense battle on ice where every shift counts towards victory or defeat.

Fans won't want to miss what could potentially be one of the most exciting games this season; mark your calendars for February 29th at Rogers Place scheduled at 8:30 PM EST (7:30 PM CST). The action will be broadcasted nationally on TNT (channel 245) or streamed online via Max network – ensuring you can catch every moment live wherever you are!
