Blues' Powerplay Sparks Against Bruins Despite Loss at Enterprise Center

The St. Louis Blues faced off against the Boston Bruins in a closely contested match that ended 3-2 in favor of the visitors. The Blues, now with a 7-9 record, showcased their powerplay efficiency by converting two opportunities into goals. On the other side, the Bruins improved their season to 8-7 with a strong third-period performance.

Powerplay Prowess


The St. Louis Blues demonstrated significant prowess on the powerplay, capitalizing on two out of three opportunities. This special teams' effectiveness was a highlight for the Blues, contributing all their scoring for the night. Brayden Schenn and Oskar Sundqvist were pivotal in this aspect, each netting a goal to keep their team competitive throughout the contest.


Bruins Breakthrough


Despite St. Louis's efforts on special teams, it was the Boston Bruins who emerged victorious thanks to a third-period surge where they scored all three of their goals at even strength. David Pastrnak and Charlie McAvoy led from the front for Boston, earning them star player recognitions for their critical roles in turning around what had been an evenly matched game until then.
