The Senators struggled offensively throughout the game; despite taking 20 shots on goal, they were unable to find their way past Binnington. Their powerplay opportunities yielded no results against St. Louis' disciplined penalty kill units.

Other notable performances for the Blues included Robert Thomas and Pavel Buchnevich each recording an assist; their contributions were vital in setting up scoring opportunities for their teammates. Colton Parayko stood out defensively with two hits and one takeaway while maintaining a plus-minus rating of +3 over his ice time.

As for Ottawa's efforts to penetrate St. Louis' defense proved futile as they faced strong resistance from both skaters and goaltender alike—highlighting areas needing improvement if they wish to bounce back in future matchups.
