First Period


The opening period saw the Oilers take control early on, scoring three goals and setting an aggressive tone for the game. The Blues struggled to find their rhythm, managing only 9 shots on goal compared to Edmonton's 11. Despite efforts from players like Brayden Schenn and Jordan Kyrou, who each contributed with attempts on goal, they were unable to break through Connor Ingram's defense.


Second Period


In the second period, both teams tightened their defenses but it was still Edmonton who found success in front of goal. The Oil added another point to their tally while maintaining pressure on St. Louis' defense. Third Period


As the final period unfolded, any hopes of a comeback by St. Louis were dashed when Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored his second point of the night for Edmonton—securing his position as one of three stars alongside Zach Hyman and goalie Connor Ingram who recorded an impressive shutout performance with all saves made successfully throughout sixty minutes played between pipes without conceding once!
