In an intense National Hockey League matchup at FLA Live Arena, the Tampa Bay Lightning were unable to secure a win against the home team, the Florida Panthers. Despite their efforts and maintaining an even strength throughout the game, the Lightning managed to put only one goal on the scoreboard. The team's shooting percentage was a modest three percent from their total of 33 shots.


The sole goal for Tampa Bay came during the second period which contributed to their three points earned in this game. Their faceoff win percentage stood at fifty-three percent after winning thirty-three out of sixty-two faceoffs. However, they struggled on powerplays failing to convert any opportunities into goals despite having two chances.

On defense, Tampa Bay blocked seventeen shots but gave away four penalties resulting in sixteen penalty minutes; one was misconduct penalty. Their goaltender faced an onslaught from the Panthers' offense and made forty-two saves out of forty-nine shots against them.


Conversely, The Florida Panthers displayed remarkable offensive skills by scoring seven goals from forty-nine shots which translated into an impressive fourteen percent shooting accuracy. They capitalized on their powerplay opportunities by scoring once out of two attempts and won twenty-nine faceoffs while losing thirty-three times giving them a faceoff win percentage just under forty-seven percent.

The Panther's goaltender had an exceptional night with a save percentage near ninety-seven percent stopping thirty-two out of thirty-three shots directed his way by The Lightning players.
