Amalie Arena Set to Host Clash Between Tampa Bay Lightning and Anaheim Ducks

As the Tampa Bay Lightning prepare to face off against the Anaheim Ducks at Amalie Arena, fans are buzzing with anticipation for what promises to be an electrifying game. The Lightning's recent performance has been nothing short of impressive, and they're expected to carry this momentum into their upcoming battle.

Looking back at their last three games, the Lightning have shown a remarkable ability to dominate on home ice. On December 20th against the St. Louis Blues, they secured a commanding 6-1 victory, showcasing an aggressive offense that capitalized on power plays and even strength situations alike. Their shooting percentage was an outstanding 18 percent that night, reflecting their precision and efficiency in front of goal.

Two days later on December 22nd, facing the Vegas Golden Knights proved more challenging; however, Tampa Bay still emerged victorious with a scoreline of 5-4. Despite conceding four goals, their resilience shone through as they fought back with five goals of their own – two coming from power plays which demonstrated their lethal edge when given the man advantage.

The most recent game on December 24th against Washington Capitals saw them win in a shootout after a tight defensive display from both teams ended regular time locked at one apiece. The Lightning's goaltender was particularly stellar that day with a save percentage of nearly 97 percent – turning away all but one of the shots he faced.

The Ducks will certainly have their work cut out for them as they enter the lion's den where TBL has been thriving lately. While Anaheim brings its own set of skills to the table – including speed and agility – it’s hard not to favor Tampa Bay given their current form and home advantage.

One area where TBL might want to focus is improving faceoff win percentages during power plays; while overall strong in faceoffs (winning over half), there is room for improvement during those critical moments when they have extra skaters on ice.

In conclusion, if past performances are anything to go by, fans can expect another dominant display from Tampa Bay Lightning come game day. With solid goaltending backing up an offense that seems capable of breaking down any defense thrown its way, it would not be surprising if TBL adds another win to its streak at Amalie Arena.

The puck drops between these two teams on January 14th at Amalie Arena in Tampa. Fans can catch all the action live starting at ESPN+, BSSC channel 693 for away broadcasts or BSSUN channel 653 for home broadcasts along with BSSD channel 694 for additional away coverage.
