The Lightning unleashed an electrifying performance that saw them dominate the second period with three goals. Their relentless attack resulted in a total of six goals from thirty-seven shots, showcasing an impressive sixteen percent shooting accuracy. The powerplay unit contributed significantly to this onslaught by capitalizing on one of their three opportunities.

Defensively, the Lightning were just as formidable. They successfully blocked fifteen shots and delivered twenty-five hits to stifle the Coyotes' advances. Goaltending was also key to their success; seventeen saves were made throughout the game, ensuring that only three pucks found their way into Tampa Bay's net.

The Arizona Coyotes did not go down without a fight though. They managed to put up thirty-eight hits and block sixteen shots themselves while taking twenty attempts on goal which resulted in three finding their mark – all during even-strength play as they failed to exploit their single powerplay chance.

Special teams played a pivotal role for both sides; however, it was Tampa Bay's efficiency during even-strength situations that truly tipped the scales in their favor with five goals scored under such circumstances.

As for individual performances, ten assists were recorded by Tampa Bay players which speaks volumes about their teamwork and passing ability during this encounter. On top of that, they won nineteen faceoffs but struggled slightly more than usual with faceoff win percentage standing at forty-four percent compared to fifty-six percent for Arizona.

Looking ahead after this commanding home performance, fans can anticipate seeing more action from Tampa Bay when they host New Jersey Devils at Amalie Arena on January 28th.
