Can Lightning Strike Down the Rangers at Amalie Arena?

The Lightning's recent performance against the Montreal Canadiens on March 3rd showcased their resilience and ability to come out on top in high-pressure situations. Securing a win through a shootout after a deadlock in overtime, TB demonstrated not only their offensive prowess but also their defensive tenacity. With 30 shots taken and an impressive goaltending display that saw 28 saves, it's clear that when push comes to shove, Tampa Bay can hold its ground.

However, it wasn't just about defense; TB's aggressive play resulted in 12 takeaways and they managed to win over half of their faceoffs. This level of control over the puck could be pivotal against NYR. Moreover, despite seven giveaways by TB during that game – which they'll need to tighten up – they still emerged victorious.

Looking back further at the February matchup with Buffalo Sabres on March 1st reveals another facet of TB's gameplay: special teams' performance. While they capitalized once during powerplay opportunities and successfully defended all shorthanded situations, there is room for improvement as they only scored two goals from open play.

One aspect where TB has shown consistency is in their goaltending department; maintaining save percentages nearing perfection across these games speaks volumes about their last line of defense.

The Rangers will undoubtedly pose a challenge; however, based on recent performances by both teams – including NYR’s own battles – there are areas where Tampa Bay can exploit weaknesses. The key for TB will be maintaining puck control as demonstrated by winning faceoffs and minimizing turnovers while capitalizing on powerplay opportunities when presented.

As fans prepare for this electrifying encounter between two formidable opponents, all eyes will be set on whether Tampa Bay can continue its momentum or if NYR will disrupt their flow at home turf.

Mark your calendars for March 14th at 7:00 PM Eastern Time when these titans collide at Amalie Arena in Tampa. Fans won't want to miss this showdown broadcasted live on ESPN+ via internet streaming or BSSUN and MSG networks for television viewing.
