Power Play Prowess


The Lightning showcased their strength on the power play throughout the game. They capitalized on one of their three opportunities to score with an impressive power play goal. The team demonstrated strategic execution during these moments, maintaining possession and creating scoring opportunities. Their power play success was highlighted by two assists that contributed significantly to their overall performance.


Even Strength and Penalty Kill


At even strength, Tampa Bay managed to net three goals from nineteen shots. This aspect of their game was crucial in keeping them competitive throughout the match. However, despite these efforts at even strength and while having fewer hits compared to Utah's 23 hits, they struggled in other areas which ultimately impacted the outcome.

On penalty kills, both teams showed resilience but it was Utah who managed to score a shorthanded goal adding pressure on Tampa Bay. The Lightning's goaltending faced challenges as well with five goals conceded at even strength out of twenty shots against them.

Among standout performances for Tampa Bay was Brayden Point who scored two goals demonstrating his critical role in the team's offensive efforts. Jake Guentzel also made significant contributions with one goal and two assists showcasing his versatility and importance to Tampa Bay’s lineup.
