This efficiency in front of goal was complemented by nine assists and fifteen points collectively earned by the team. Notably, one of these goals proved to be decisive as it was recorded as the winning goal.

Toronto also capitalized on their powerplay opportunities, converting one out of three chances into a goal with a powerplay shooting percentage standing at twenty-five percent and winning eighty-three percent of their faceoffs during these critical moments. Their special teams' prowess didn't end there; they successfully killed off all five penalties they faced while shorthanded.

The Oilers did not go down without showing some resilience in the third period where they scored all three of their goals after two scoreless periods.
