On defense and between the pipes for Toronto was Joseph Woll, who saved 21 out of 23 shots faced. His performance included four crucial saves while shorthanded but ultimately wasn't enough to secure a win for his team.

The home team responded well after going down early in the game. Shane Pinto and Anton Forsberg were particularly instrumental in Ottawa's victory.
