Teravainen's goal tied up the game early on, setting up Levshunov to score what would be considered by many fans as one of his most crucial goals this season. This decisive play secured victory for Chicago and left Toronto unable to recover before time expired.

In terms of individual performances, Joseph Woll stood out for Toronto by making 29 saves against 32 shots faced during regulation time. However, it was not enough to prevent defeat in this closely contested match-up.
