First Period


The game began with both teams displaying strong defensive plays. The Maple Leafs opened the scoring early on, thanks to a well-executed play by John Tavares, who assisted William Nylander for his first goal of the night. The Blues responded swiftly, leveling the score through their powerplay advantage.


Second Period


In this period, both teams continued to battle fiercely for control of the puck. The Buds managed to regain their lead when Jake McCabe found an opening and scored his first goal of the game. However, once again, St. Louis capitalized on another powerplay opportunity to equalize before heading into intermission.

Third Period


The third period saw intense back-and-forth action as each team sought to break the deadlock but neither could find success against solid goaltending performances from Joseph Woll and his counterpart on St.Louis' side.


Overtime
