First Period


The opening period saw both teams testing each other's defenses. The Maple Leafs struck first with two goals, setting an early tone for their aggressive playstyle. William Nylander was instrumental during this period, contributing significantly to Toronto's initial lead.


Second Period


In the second period, both teams managed to find the back of the net once each. The Pens attempted to close the gap but were met by strong defensive plays from Jake McCabe and Morgan Rielly. Max Domi's presence on ice was felt as he assisted on key plays that kept Toronto ahead.

Third Period


The third period was where Toronto truly shined, scoring three goals that sealed their victory. Bobby McMann added his name to the scoresheet with a pivotal goal that energized his team further. Joseph Woll stood firm between the pipes for Toronto, making crucial saves against Pittsburgh's attempts to rally back.


Despite Pittsburgh's efforts and managing one goal in each period, they couldn't overcome Toronto’s relentless attack and solid defense throughout all periods of play.
