Third Period

Overtime


Overtime proved decisive as Simon Edvinsson secured victory for Detroit with an overtime goal that left fans at Little Caesars Arena ecstatic. Despite their efforts and maintaining possession during critical moments like faceoffs (winning nearly half), it was not enough for Toronto who fell short without scoring any overtime goals themselves.
