The game at Rogers Arena saw the Canucks put up a valiant effort on home ice. Despite trailing initially, they managed to tie the game and push it into overtime. The Canucks demonstrated their offensive capabilities by firing 26 shots towards the Coyotes' net and successfully converting three of those attempts into goals. Their power play unit capitalized once out of four opportunities presented to them during the game.

The home team's faceoff performance was notably strong; they won 38 out of 58 faceoffs, translating to a winning percentage of 66 percent. This control over puck possession allowed them to set up plays and maintain pressure on their opponents throughout various phases of play.

On defense, Vancouver was equally robust with players blocking seven shots and delivering an impressive total of 31 hits during the contest. However, despite these efforts and saving all but one shot at even strength for a save percentage rounding to an impeccable hundred percent, they were unable to keep Arizona from scoring four times.

Arizona's winning goal came during overtime after both teams had battled through three periods with relentless energy. The Coyotes managed this despite being outplayed in faceoffs where they only secured victory in 34 percent of draws taken.
