On defense and between the pipes, Arturs Silovs recorded 20 saves on 26 shots faced throughout regulation and overtime periods combined. Despite allowing six goals against him under relentless pressure from Calgary's attackers.

Connor Zary emerged as one of Calgary's heroes by earning himself a star player designation thanks to crucial plays including scoring during overtime which clinched victory for his team. Anthony Mantha also played an instrumental role for Calgary by contributing significantly on offense which helped turn around what seemed like an insurmountable deficit after falling behind early in the game.
