On defense, Arturs Silovs made 18 saves but faced challenges against Pittsburgh's aggressive offense which managed to put five past him. Despite this setback, Silovs showed moments of brilliance between the pipes.

Bryan Rust emerged as one of Pittsburgh's stars with his dynamic play on ice contributing significantly to his team’s victory. Erik Karlsson also played a pivotal role for Pittsburgh both defensively and offensively.
