On defense and between pipes, Kevin Lankinen recorded 19 saves but faced tough opposition from Montreal's offense which managed to slip five goals past him over time including during powerplay situations where Montreal capitalized twice on their four opportunities.


Montreal's Comeback


The Canadiens demonstrated why they are formidable opponents on home ice by rallying back each time they trailed behind. Their powerplay unit proved effective by scoring twice out of four chances given throughout this nail-biting contest.

Lane Hutson and Nick Suzuki emerged as stars for Montreal; Hutson was particularly notable for his defensive efforts alongside contributing offensively which earned him recognition as one of the game's top performers along with Suzuki who played a crucial role in turning around his team's fortunes during key moments.
