Thatcher Demko made an impressive total of 18 saves throughout the night but ultimately was credited with the loss due to two even-strength goals allowed.


Player Performances


Several players stood out for their efforts on ice despite the unfavorable outcome for Vancouver. Quinn Hughes led in ice time among his teammates with nearly 29 minutes played but faced challenges in turning this into offensive production. J.T. Miller was active in trying to create scoring opportunities, leading his team with three shots on goal but also ended up with a minus-two rating for the night.


Kiefer Sherwood demonstrated physicality by delivering seven hits during his time on ice, showcasing his commitment to impacting the game beyond scoring. On defense, Noah Juulsen contributed significantly as well by registering four hits and one takeaway.


For Carolina Hurricanes, goaltender Dustin Tokarski was awarded star player status after achieving a shutout victory by saving all 14 shots he faced from Vancouver. Jordan Staal and Andrei Svechnikov also received recognition for their contributions that helped secure their team's win.
