Despite efforts to rally back, Vancouver managed only one goal in the third period, scored by Nils Hoglander. Tyler Myers and Derek Forbort struggled defensively; both players ended up with a minus-two plus-minus rating. Myers tried to compensate with physical play leading his team with four hits alongside contributing three shots on goal.
