Game Highlights

The game was intense from start to finish. The Canucks managed to keep the pressure on during the second period where they scored their only goal of the night, bringing their total points to one. Despite their efforts and matching shot attempts at 34 each with their opponents, they couldn't capitalize further on scoring opportunities. The team's performance was highlighted by aggressive play which resulted in a total of 34 hits and maintaining possession through faceoffs with a win percentage of 50 percent.

Jake DeBrusk stood out for the Canucks by scoring once on his two shots, showcasing his accuracy and contributing significantly to his team's efforts. Kiefer Sherwood and Carson Soucy each added an assist, demonstrating teamwork and strategic playmaking abilities. However, despite these individual performances and controlling half of all faceoffs taken during the game (winning 28 out of 56), Vancouver struggled to find additional scoring opportunities beyond their single goal.

On defense and between the pipes for Vancouver was Kevin Lankinen who made an impressive total of 32 saves throughout the night but ultimately recorded a loss due to conceding two goals before an empty-netter sealed their fate late in third period action.

Looking Ahead

The Vancouver Canucks will next take on Utah Hockey Club at Delta Center in Salt Lake City on February 23rd at 8:00 PM EDT. Fans can catch all action live as it unfolds on ESPN+ or local TV network Utah16 for those tuning in from home or elsewhere.

This upcoming match presents another opportunity for Vancouver to bounce back from this setback against Vegas Golden Knights as they continue striving towards securing more wins under their belt this season.
