The Golden Knights have had a challenging run in their past few games. Despite a solid effort with 25 shots on goal and maintaining discipline with only one team penalty, they fell short against the Florida Panthers with a final score of 2-4. Their shooting percentage was modest at eight percent and faceoff win percentage hovered just below half at approximately 48 percent.

In their game against Tampa Bay Lightning, although they managed to put up four goals and increased their shooting percentage significantly to nearly twelve percent, goaltending proved less effective as they conceded five goals with a save percentage of just over 86 percent. Faceoff wins remained an area of concern as they won less than half of their faceoffs.

Their encounter with the Carolina Hurricanes saw them scoring three goals from 33 shots but ultimately losing by conceding six goals. The goaltending performance dipped further with a save percentage around 85 percent; however, there was improvement in faceoffs won reaching nearly 57 percent.

The pattern emerging from these games indicates that while the Golden Knights can generate offensive opportunities and have moments where they control play through faceoffs, defensive lapses and inconsistent goaltending have been detrimental. As such, fans should watch closely how the team adjusts its strategy defensively and whether it can capitalize on home-ice advantage at T-Mobile Arena to secure a much-needed victory.

Fans can catch this pivotal game live on ESPN+ or SCRIPPS networks come January 14th at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The puck drops after midnight Eastern Time (ET), promising an intense night of NHL action under the bright lights of Sin City.
