Will the Vegas Golden Knights Glide Past Columbus Blue Jackets in Home Ice Advantage?

As the Vegas Golden Knights prepare to host the Columbus Blue Jackets at T-Mobile Arena, fans are eager to see if their team can continue their recent momentum. The Golden Knights have been a force on home ice, and with their latest performance against the Seattle Kraken on March 13th, where they secured a thrilling 5-4 victory in overtime, expectations are high.

The game against the Kraken showcased VGK's resilience and ability to perform under pressure. Despite being out-hit and facing a relentless attack that led to 17 takeaways by Seattle, VGK managed to pull through with an impressive shooting percentage of 15 percent. Their offensive prowess was evident as they fired off 34 shots, finding the back of the net five times.

VGK's goaltending has also been commendable. In their last three games, including a tough loss against Vancouver Canucks on March 8th and a convincing win over Detroit Red Wings on March 10th, VGK goalies have maintained save percentages at or near perfection. This defensive solidity will be crucial when facing CBJ's attackers.

However, it won't be an easy task as CBJ comes into this game looking for an upset. While they may not have VGK's recent winning record or offensive statistics – such as VGK’s even-strength goal tally – CBJ has shown that they can compete with tenacity and grit.

VGK fans should keep an eye on how their team manages power plays; this could be a deciding factor in what promises to be a closely contested matchup. With only one powerplay goal in three opportunities during their last outing against Seattle Kraken and two missed chances without scoring against Detroit Red Wings earlier in March, there is room for improvement.

The upcoming game is set for Saturday night excitement under the bright lights of Las Vegas. Fans should expect VGK to come out strong and use their home advantage effectively but must not underestimate CBJ’s potential to surprise.

Mark your calendars for March 23rd at T-Mobile Arena; puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 PM local time (PST). The match will be broadcasted live on ESPN+ online platform along with BSOH and SCRIPPS television networks for those who prefer traditional viewing methods. Don't miss what promises to be another exhilarating chapter in VGK’s quest for glory this season!
