On the other side, despite a valiant effort from St. Louis including scoring once in each period and maintaining a shooting percentage of 14 percent similar to that of Vegas, they fell short. Their goaltender managed to save 24 shots but it wasn't enough to stop Vegas' relentless attack.

Other key players for Vegas included Nicolas Roy who scored once from his two shots on goal while Ivan Barbashev also stood out by scoring one goal and assisting another which added depth to their attacking options.

Mark Stone's playmaking abilities were on full display as he assisted twice during critical moments of the game which helped maintain momentum for Vegas. Adin Hill's performance between the posts was commendable; he saved 19 out of 22 shots directed at him by St. Louis' offense.
