Golden Knights' Performance

The Golden Knights started strong with Mark Stone scoring twice in the first period, showcasing his efficiency with a perfect shooting percentage from two shots on goal. However, as the game unfolded, Vegas struggled to capitalize on their powerplay opportunities despite having three chances and managing seven shots during these plays. Their faceoff win percentage was notably low at 36 percent compared to Edmonton's dominance in this area.

Defensively, Adin Hill made significant contributions by saving 24 out of 28 shots faced but ultimately conceded four goals during even-strength play. Shea Theodore and William Karlsson each contributed an assist but it wasn't enough to turn the tide for Vegas.

On the other side of the rink, Zach Hyman led Edmonton's charge with crucial plays that earned him recognition as one of the game's stars alongside Leon Draisaitl who also made impactful contributions. The Oilers demonstrated resilience by scoring three goals in a decisive third period which sealed their victory over Vegas.

Edmonton's goaltending was solid throughout; they managed to save all powerplay attempts from Vegas while maintaining composure under pressure during shorthanded situations.
