First Period


The opening period saw both teams struggling to find their rhythm offensively. The Golden Knights managed to take 20 shots on goal throughout the game but were unable to convert any into points during this period. Their defense held firm initially, preventing any goals from being scored by the Sharks.


Second Period


As play resumed in the second period, it became evident that San Jose had found their stride. The Sharks broke through with two goals, showcasing their offensive prowess and putting pressure on Vegas's defense. Despite efforts from players like Ben Hutton and Dylan Coghlan who contributed significantly with hits and blocked shots, they couldn't prevent these crucial goals.

Third Period


In the final period of play, Vegas continued to struggle offensively despite having powerplay opportunities where they took six shots but failed to score. Meanwhile, San Jose added another goal late in this segment of play which sealed their victory over Vegas with an empty-net finish.


Vegas goaltender Carl Lindbom made commendable saves throughout his time on ice; however he faced relentless attacks from key players such as Jeff Skinner and Will Smith who were instrumental for San Jose’s success alongside star goalie Alex Nedeljkovic whose performance earned him top honors post-game.
