The Jets have been showing a remarkable level of play recently. Their last game against the Buffalo Sabres on January 13th showcased their resilience and ability to maintain pressure throughout all periods. With a total of 4 goals scored and an impressive goaltending performance that boasted a save percentage of 95 percent, it's clear that the team is in good form. Their even-strength gameplay was particularly strong, netting them all four goals on just 25 shots.

However, it wasn't just their offense that shone; defensively they were solid too. The team blocked an astounding 23 shots and won over half of their faceoffs at 52 percent. This combination of offensive firepower and defensive solidity could prove challenging for the Penguins.

In contrast, looking back at the Jets' performance against the Detroit Red Wings on January 11th paints a different picture—one where they struggled significantly in goal with only a save percentage around 70 percent while allowing six goals during even strength play. Despite scoring five goals themselves and winning slightly more than half their faceoffs again (52 percent), this inconsistency is something they'll need to address before facing Pittsburgh.

The most recent home game for WJ was nothing short of spectacular; they dominated Vancouver Canucks with seven goals scored—a shooting percentage standing tall at nearly 26 percent—and once again proved strong in defense by blocking eight shots and taking away six attempts from Canucks players.

What stands out about WJ is not just their ability to score but also how well-rounded their performances have been—showing proficiency both offensively and defensively while maintaining discipline by keeping penalty minutes low across these games.

The Penguins will certainly pose a challenge as they enjoy home advantage this time around but based on recent performances; if WJ can harness their evident strengths while tightening up goaltending as seen against Sabres rather than Red Wings, there's every reason to believe they can skate away with another win under their belts.

Fans eager not to miss any action from what promises to be an exciting match-up should mark their calendars for January 14th when these two teams collide at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh. The puck drops at midnight UTC (7 PM Eastern Time), with broadcasts available nationally on NHL Network channel 215 or locally via SportsNet PT channel 659 among other networks including SportsNet internationally and TVAS for international French-speaking viewers.
